Mr. Yeongwoo Oh is a Senior Advisor at Shin & Kim, mainly practicing in the areas of Metaverse+NFT, Media, Entertainment and Sports, Copyrights, and Privacy & Data Protection
Mr. Oh passed the 34th National Civil Service Examination in 1990 and entered public service in 1991. He served in various positions at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for over 30 years until his retirement as Vice Minister in 2022, having served as Director of the Cultural Strategy Team, Director of the International Sports Division, Director of the Personnel Division, Director of the Copyright Policy Division, Director of Planning and Management, Director of Policy Planning, Director of Copyright Policy, Director of Korean Culture and Information Service, Director of the Sports Bureau, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office, First Deputy Minister, and Second Deputy Minister. Additionally, he gained extensive experience through various roles, including Senior Executive Officer at the Office of the Cultural and Sports Secretary to the President, Specially Appointed Professor to the School of Cyber Security of Korea University, and Dispatched Student to the Korea National Defense University's Security Program.
Mr. Oh graduated from Seoul National University in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in geography, received a master's degree in arts management from the University of Oregon in 2004, and a doctorate in engineering from Korea University in 2012. Since his retirement from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022, Mr. Oh has served as a Specially Appointed Professor at the School of Cyber Security of Korea University, and joined Shin & Kim in May 2025.
