Ms. Da Yoon Shin is a senior foreign attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Shin & Kim.

Ms. Shin has advised and represented various domestic and foreign multinational companies, with respect to intellectual property disputes filed before the Korean courts and the U.S. district courts. In addition to carrying out traditional intellectual property right-related tasks, including those concerning copyright, trademark, and unfair competition prevention laws, Ms. Shin has advised domestic companies involved in civil litigation in the U.S. and abroad by coordinating with corresponding local firms for effective and efficient representation in the local courts.

Ms. Shin is also part of Shin & Kim’s Healthcare and Life Science Practice Group and has advised clients on a wide range of regulatory and commercial issues. These include product labeling and advertising compliance, reimbursement and market access strategies, and licensing and distribution agreements.

• Represented a U.S. company in a civil and criminal trademark infringement cases before Korean courts.
• Assisted a Korean distributor in the negotiation of the licensing agreement with German automotive parts manufacturer.
