Introduction

Ms. Da Yoon Shin is a senior foreign attorney at Shin & Kim who primarily concentrates on international litigation with specialty in intellectual property.

Ms. Shin has advised and represented various domestic and foreign multinational companies, with respect to intellectual property disputes filed before the Korean courts and the U.S. district courts. In addition to carrying out traditional intellectual property right-related tasks, including those concerning copyright, trademark, and unfair competition prevention laws, Ms. Shin advised clients on various works relating to privacy and data protection issues, including risk assessment on security systems and data processing practices, advice on privacy-related laws, maintenance of compliance in established regulatory frameworks.

In addition to IP disputes, Ms. Shin is also part of Shin & Kim’s International Litigation Practice Group and assists domestic companies involved in civil litigation in the U.S. and abroad by coordinating with corresponding local firms for effective and efficient representation in the local courts.
