Mr. Do Jin Kim is a senior advisor at Shin & Kim whose practice focuses on general business loan of financial institutions, capital markets, acquisition finance, securitization and structured finance, and derivative transactions.
Prior to joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Dojin Kim worked for the Industrial Bank of Korea for about 35 years since 1985. After gaining practical experience at the general planning department, training department, secretarial department and card business department, Mr. Kim was promoted to branch manager in 2005.
In 2008, he won the top prize in the bank’s nationwide business management evaluation of branch managers, and in 2009, as head of the external relations team, he contributed to the selection of autonomous management organizations, a status granted to public institutions.
In addition, Mr. Kim played a pivotal role in promoting the bank's core business, including organization-wide planning, budgeting, and investor relations, and based on this experience, he served as the 25th President of the Industrial Bank of Korea since December 2016.
Notably, he served as a non-executive research fellow at the Korea Institute of Finance for two years from April 2020 and as the chairman of the board (outside director) of Korea Credit Service and from August 2022 to February 2024. He has now served as an outside director of Hana Bank since March 2024.
