Mr. Jae-Sig Lee, a former official of the Financial Supervisory Service and the Financial Information Team of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, has joined Shin & Kim as an expert advisor.

Mr. Jae-Sig Lee started his career as an official at the Securities Supervisory Board (currently, the Financial Supervisory Service) in 1993, and for 16 years, was mainly in charge of examinations and re-examinations of sanctions imposed on financial institutions, shareholdings disclosures and investigations of unfair trade practices in the capital markets.  Then, in 2009, Mr. Lee was specially recruited as a prosecution investigation official and served as the head of the Financial Information Team of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office for five years, mainly handling investigation support and analysis work for prosecutors’ investigations into high profile corporate and financial crimes.

With a unique vantage point and detailed working-level expertise and experience gleaned from dual careers with the Financial Supervisory Service and the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Mr. Lee advises on issues relating to the governmental regulation and supervision of financial institutions and capital markets.
