Introduction

Mr. Yun Ho Choi is currently a partner at Shin & Kim and and his main areas of practice includes asset management, overseas private equity investment, infrastructure and other alternative investments, offshore fund investment and registration, PEF, financial institution M&A, Financial Consumer Protection Act, financial disputes, and financial regulations.

Mr. Choi has accumulated extensive experience in the areas of offshore alternative investments by major Korean financial institutions and domestic investments by overseas investors. He has also worked on various general advisory matters in the field of financial regulation, such as advising clients on the Act on the Protection of Financial Consumer.

Mr. Choi graduated from Seoul National University College of Business Administration, earned his LL.M from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, and completed the 40th judicial training course at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. Mr. Choi has participated as a speaker or panelist at numerous domestic and international seminars in the field of offshore alternative investments and private equity investments, and was recognized as one of the Leading Lawyer by the Legal Times in 2025.

  • Advised Woori Bank, Hana Bank, Citibank, Suhyup Bank, and Industrial Bank of Korea on the Financial Consumer Protection Act.
  • Advised Korean Venture Investment on overseas VC investment.
