Introduction

Byoungjoo Lee is a partner at Shin & Kim, where his primary areas of practice include cross-border M&A, foreign investment, international regulatory matters, U.S. SEC-related capital markets, international trade, and international arbitration. He regularly advises clients on all aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions and investment transactions, including transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution. Drawing on his in-depth understanding of global regulatory regimes, he provides strategic legal counsel on issues arising from clients’ overseas expansion and cross-border business operations.

Mr. Lee has represented domestic and international companies and investors in a wide range of cross-border transactions spanning the United States, Europe, and Asia, including share and asset acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments. He has substantial experience advising on international regulatory matters, including foreign licensing and approval requirements, regulatory reviews, and ongoing compliance obligations.

In addition, Mr. Lee has extensive experience in capital markets transactions, including global debt offerings, listings of foreign companies on the Korean stock exchange, and compliance with U.S. SEC regulations.
