Mr. Gyeong-Wan Gu is an associate at Shin & Kim whose main areas of practice are IT regulatory compliance in the platform and information & communications sectors, data privacy, antitrust, unfair competition and trade secrets, digital technology and data law, and corporate/M&A.

Mr. Gu has handled various corporate advisory matters, including reviewing new business models, M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance, and foreign exchange regulations. From 2024 to 2025, he completed a one-year secondment at Gleiss Lutz, a leading German law firm in Stuttgart, where he worked with the Asia Desk (M&A) handling cross-border deals and corporate advisory matters between Asian (including Korean) and German companies.

Mr. Gu graduated from Korea University Business School and received his J.D. from Korea University School of Law. He passed the 9th Bar Examination and joined Shin & Kim LLC in 2020.
