Joongmin Park is a senior advisor at Shin & Kim. Before joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Park has worked at the Securities Supervisory Board, Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) for 28 years.
Mr. Park was responsible for corporate registration and investigations on unfair trade practices at the Securities Supervisory Board, and he has served as a member of the audit committee for around 40 bankrupt organizations, including Daegu Banking Corp., while he was at the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation. During his tenure with the KOFIA, Mr. Park was engaged in tasks relating to legislation and the amendment of the Capital Markets Act, and he served as the head of the legal affairs department, policy support division, and corporate affairs division for 10 years. Mr. Park has made many contributions towards the improvement in quality of financial investment professionals and played a central role in the dissemination of expert knowledge throughout the financial investment industry as the head of the Korea Institute of Financial Investment.
