Mr. Jootag Yoon is a partner at Shin & Kim’s IP Group, and has served as a high court judge and a judge in various courts such as Seoul High Court, Patent Court, and Seoul Central District Court from February 2004 to February 2021.
While serving as a high court judge and judge, Mr. Yoon has experienced dealing with various intellectual property cases, temporary injunction cases, bankruptcy, and various civil and criminal cases.
In particular, while serving in the Patent Court, the Seoul High Court, and the Seoul Central District Court, Mr. Yoon has dealt with many intellectual property cases such as patents, trademarks, designs, trade secrets, copyrights, etc. He has lectured on a number of intellectual property laws at the Judicial Research & Training Institute, the Seoul Bar Association, and the Korean Patent Attorneys Association. He made presentations on intellectual property law at the Supreme Court Special Practice Research Group and Patent Court Public Seminars, and has published or commented on a number of papers on the intellectual property law.
