Ms. Kyung Hwa Moon is a partner at Shin & Kim.

Ms. Moon’s main areas of practice include advising clients on investment funds transactions, structured financing transactions, mergers and acquisition transactions involving financial institutions, credit finance and derivatives transactions.

Ms. Moon has advised domestic and overseas financial institutions, corporations and government organizations in a wide range of financial transactions, including domestic and international fund transactions, asset-backed securitization transactions, real estate acquisition finance and other structured finance transactions. Ms. Moon has also been involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions of financial institutions.

• Advised a number of Korean asset managers on investment in foreign funds and domestic regulatory matters
• Advised a number of foreign asset managers and private equity funds on investment, regulations, and funds in Korea

Structured Finance

• Advised arrangers, trustees, and investors in a number of cross-border and domestic securitization transactions, including credit card receivables, installment finance receivables, and MBS.

• Advised on Kakaopay’s acquisition of an interest in Baro Investment & Securities
• Advised on Pepper Savings Bank’s issuance of preferred shares to Pinetree Asset Management
• Advised on Korea Investment & Securities’ attempt to acquire Daewoo Securities and Hyundai Securities
• Advised on ORIX’s attempt to acquire Hyundai Securities
• Advised on ORIX’s purchase and sale of an interest in Hyundai Logistics
