Mr. Han-Seok Ko is a Senior Advisor at the Global Business Strategy Center of Shin & Kim, where he advises on outbound and inbound investments, overseas regulatory matters, and global risk management.

Mr. Ko received his B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature and his M.A. from Seoul National University, and earned a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the Harvard Kennedy School.

He served as Head of the Beijing IT & Internet Business Team at SK China, where he established a local subsidiary and served as its CEO, leading various IT business operations and venture investments in China for approximately four years. He later served as Head of the Global Business Development Team at Samsung Networks (now Samsung SDS), overseeing operations across major overseas hubs, including San Francisco, London, Beijing, Tokyo, and Singapore. He also has experience managing overseas resource development projects in Mongolia and Bolivia.

He also served as Executive Vice President of a political party–affiliated policy research institute, where he was responsible for policy planning. He later served as Chairman of the Seoul Digital Foundation, overseeing the Seoul Pavilion at CES 2020. In addition, he worked as Chief Secretary to the Mayor of Seoul, where he coordinated overall municipal operations and policy initiatives. Drawing on his extensive experience across both the private and public sectors, he currently provides strategic advisory services to corporations and public institutions.
