Mr. Yong Woo Lee is a partner, who has been practicing at Shin & Kim. Since 1999, Mr. Lee has been advising both major domestic and international clients on corporate and regulatory matters. He is particularly known for his mobility sector expertise, including automotive, aviation and logistics.

He has been representing some of the world’s top automobile manufacturers, importers and part manufacturers on various legal and regulatory matters. Specifically, Mr. Lee has advised domestic and international clients in their crisis management to successfully resolve challenges caused by safety and environmental issues. Also, he continues to advise clients on legal and regulatory aspects of new industry trends, including EV, connected cars and autonomous vehicles.

Mr. Lee also provides advice on responding to regulations of various major foreign countries, related to supply chain issues, export control, and financial sanctions, etc. that domestic companies face when exporting or investing offshore. He also provides comprehensive advice from legal, policy, and strategic perspectives on various global and transnational risks and legal issues faced by major governmental agencies, global companies, state-owned companies and financial institutions in Korea.

Mr. Lee is also known for his government relations and regulatory affairs expertise for domestic and international clients. He served as an external advisory counsel on competition policy for the Korea Fair Trade Commission (“KFTC”) and as a member of the National Assembly’s Political Reform Advisory Committee.
